About the Artist

Biography

Sharleen (signed BOADEN) paints with feeling which reveals the poetic quality of her nature,

best expressed in florals and whimsical figures. When painting with oils, she usually listens to Chopin,

an artist whose music connects very deeply with her. Often she reverts to her old love, drawing,

and she especially enjoys using charcoal with oils to create a monochromatic sketchy painting.

Her Stamp Art Collection involves making her own stamps, using string, rope and cut outs to create

uncontrolled and exciting marks.  Her work is often described as soft and romantic

and can be found in many private collections.

Sharleen was born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
